    Acute Medical Services

    Should you or a family member need admission for an acute medical condition, our Magnolia Ward is well supported by a team of nurses, allied health professionals and medical consultants to ensure your care is well managed.

    Allied Health

    Allied health consists of a team of health professionals working closely with our medical specialists and nursing team to provide co-ordinated, multi-disciplinary patient care to meet the individual needs of our patients.

    Our commitment to excellence in patient care involves communication with families and carers to ensure adequate support is in place when patients leave hospital.

    The allied health team contributes to clinical care in the treatment and prevention of disorders and diseases, clinical research and education.

    DVA Patients

    South Eastern Private is a Tier 1 provider for the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA). DVA patients are very welcome and we have a veterans' liaison officer who provides support and assistance to our DVA patients.

    Emergency Department

    The closest private Emergency Department is located at The Valley Private Hospital, another Healthe Care hospital. The Emergency Department at The Valley Private is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

    Haematology

    Haematology is the branch of medicine that looks at and treats diseases of the blood.

    A wide range of haematological treatments are undertaken in our Oncology Day Unit.

    Medical & Oncology Ward

    Should you or a family member need admission for a medical condition, our Magnolia Unit is well supported by a team of nurses, allied health professionals and medical consultants to ensure your care is well managed.

    Mental Health

    South Eastern Private Hospital opened a new mental health services clinic in August 2016.

    This voluntary mental health clinic offers accomodation in 52 single rooms and 4 double rooms across two wards.

    The Olinda and Emerald wards operate on a consultant team basis with highly qualified mental health nursing and therapy staff.

    A referral is required from a GP or Psychiatrist.

    Door Entry is via gate 2 and the clinic entrance off Heatherton Road and Ryder st. There is a seperate undercover car park.

    Oncology

    Our Oncology Day Unit is recognised for its clinical excellence, caring and compassionate staff.

    Palliative Care

    Our 11 bed Palliative Care Unit (Abelia) and is supported by caring and experienced Nurses. Pastoral care is also provided when needed.

    The Abelia team provides care that assists the quality of life for the patient, their families and carers by addressing emotional,social,physical, spiritual and cultural needs.

    Pastoral Care

    The key purpose of pastoral care is care delivery with a holistic approach to health that enables individuals and groups to respond to spiritual and emotional needs, and to the experiences of life, death, illness and injury, in the context of a faith or belief system.

    Support is provided to all who enter our facility including family members and staff.

    If you would like support in this area,  please ask any of our staff members to arrange this for you.

    Pathology

    On-site pathology services are available to meet inpatient and outpatient needs.

    Inpatient pathology services are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

    Pathology services for outpatients are available as follows:

    • Monday-Friday: 8.30am - 6.00pm
    • Saturday: 9.00am - noon

     

    Pharmacy

    Slade Pharmacy is on-site and caters for inpatient, outpatient and discharge pharmacy requirements.

    Physiotherapy

    Radiology

    On-site radiology services are available for inpatient requirements, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

    Outpatient radiology services are available as follows.

    • Monday-Friday: 8.30am - 4.20pm
    • Saturday: 9am - noon (for xrays only)

     

    Rehabilitation

    The Rehabilitation Units (Cassia and Boronia)  incorporates purpose built gyms and a hydrotherapy pool.

    Sleep Centre

    The South Eastern Sleep Centre provides sleep studies for patients. The sleep studies are performed in three spacious purpose-built ambient rooms, each with double beds which are comfortably conducive to sleep.
